Detective RatesRate is based on the circumstances of each case and may be charged at a flat rate or hourly rate:
In cases where the client gains profit based on the investigation (e.g. successful debt recovery), an award of 20% of the gained value may be requested. Results-based billing is also possible when the outcome justifies a higher fee. A signed contract and appropriate authorisation are required before any investigation begins. NOTE: The private investigator is bound by professional secrecy and the Personal Data Protection Act. The client may use the obtained data and information exclusively for the purpose for which it was collected. Detective services are provided on the basis of a written authorisation from the client (Article 33 of the Detective Activity Act). The maximum period of personal observation is four months (Article 38 of the ZDD-2). All information is treated as a business secret (Article 41 of the ZDD-2). This price list is valid from 1 February 2026. |
